BHUBANESWAR:The 1994-batch IPS officer Soumya Mishra has been appointed as the Additional DG of Fire Services & Home Guards, Odisha.
As per a notification issued by the State Home Department, Dr Soumya Mishra, who has joined in Odisha on inter cadre deputation from Telangana, is posted as Additional GD, fire Service and Home Guards.
Earlier, IPS Soumya Mishra was posted in the Crime Investigation Department of the Telangana Police in Hyderabad.
Soumya Mishra, the first female IPS officer from the state of Odisha, is the cadet of 1994 batch IPS officer and has held several senior positions.
