12th International Yoga Day-BJP State President Manmohan Samal joins International Yoga Day celebrations at Cuttack Indoor Stadium

BHUBANESWAR:The theme of this year’s Yoga Day is “Yoga for Healthy Living”. Yoga is very important in today’s busy life. It is not just an exercise but a way to establish harmony between the body and mind. In this regard, everyone from children to the elderly should do yoga, said State President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Manmohan Samal while participating in a program organized at the Indoor Stadium in Cuttack on the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day.

Participating in the program organized in collaboration with the Yoga Festival, Shri Samal said that Yoga is a priceless gift of ancient Indian tradition. Due to the efforts of the late Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the 5,000-year-old ancient yoga has gained acceptance all over the world. On December 11, 2014, the United Nations recognized ‘Yoga’ and declared June 21 as the “International Yoga Day”. Due to the efforts of the late Prime Minister Modi, Yoga Day is now being celebrated all over the world.
Yoga makes a person active and happy. Regular yoga helps to get rid of many diseases. To make it even more effective, the government of the late Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Center and Shri Mohan Charan Majhi in the state are continuously promoting it. On this International Yoga Day, Shri Samal congratulated the people of the state and urged them to make Yoga a part of their daily lives and live a healthy, balanced and joyful life. Cuttack MLA Shri Prakash Chandra Sethi along with many activists and the general public were present at the event. Similarly, state leaders, officials and activists celebrated International Yoga Day in various parts of the state today.
