BHUBANESWAR:Late Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, was the center of inspiration for all of us. It is imperative that today’s youth be inspired by his nationalist thoughts and ideals. People should know about his achievements. In just 52 years, Late Mukherjee became the youngest Chief Minister of the country. Before becoming an educationist, he had also achieved great success as a skilled lawyer. After taking charge as the country’s first Industries and Supplies Minister, he formulated India’s first industrial policy. He played a key role in facilitating the development of a mixed economy in India. He achieved top position in everything he did.

He did not compromise with the forces dividing West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir. He opposed Article 370 in the Constitution. He said, ‘In one country, do Vidhan, do Pradhan, do Nishan nahin Chalenge’ and called for “Kashmir Chalor” by opposing the permit system. The Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which he founded in 1951, has today taken the form of a big tree like the ‘Bharatiya Janata Party’. Based on his ideology, determination and work methods, today the BJP is ruling in 22 states of the country, said State President and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Manmohan Samal on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

Laying a wreath at his statue at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Park in Bhubaneswar, Shri Samal said that Late Mukherjee always worked on how to strengthen the overall development of the country, economic development, social policy and national security policy of the country. In his memory, Late Mukherjee’s memorial day was celebrated across the state from 23rd June to 6th July, his birthday. On this occasion, discussions were held at various booths, mandals and districts and tributes were paid by garlanding the photograph of Late Mukherjee. Discussions and discussions about Late Mukherjee will continue at various places throughout the year on the occasion of his birth anniversary. In addition, there are proposals to name roads, parks, libraries, social institutions and various squares after Dr. Mukherjee in various places.
The popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi joined the tribute program and paid tributes to the late Mukherjee by offering floral tributes to the statue. On this occasion, the Chief Minister, the State President and prominent leaders planted trees. The program was attended by Speaker Smt. Surma Padhi, MLA Shri Babu Singh, former State President Shri Sameer Mohanty, former Minister Shri Aurobindo Talukku, former MLA Shri Priyadarshi Mishra, State Secretary Shri Saroj Kumar Kar, State Executive Member Shri Jagannath Pradhan, Bhubaneswar District President Shri Niranjan Mishra.
