Naveen Jindal Joins Naveen Patnaik to Congratulate Indian Men’s Hockey Team for Splendid Win against UK

BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: Sports Loving Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Jindal Steel and Power Limited Chairman Naveen Jindal were among first to wish Indian Hockey Team after their splendid win against UK at the Tokyo Olympics. Chief Minister Patnaik along with his Secretary(5T) VK Pandian watched the match in TV at Naveen Niwas and the BJD Supremo, who ensured Odisha became official sponsor of Indian Hockey, was seen clapping when Indians stuck UK at the Olympics encounter.  JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal too regularly encouraging Indian contingent for the game and regularly tweeting on it.

India defeated Great Britain 3-1 in the men’s hockey quarter-final to earn a spot in the semi-finals at the Tokyo Olympics. The Manpreet Singh-led side will face off against the 2018 world champions Belgium in the last four on Tuesday. This will be the first Olympic semi-final that India will play in 49 years, since the 1972 Munich Games, in which eight-time champions India had lost to arch-rivals Pakistan.
