Violation of AIS Conduct Rules:  DoPT asked Odisha Chief Secretary to take action against 5T Secretary VK Pandian

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:  Government of India has taken cognizance of the violation of Conduct Rules by an Officer in Odisha. Based on clear evidence of violation, DoPT, has asked Chief Secretary to take action as State is Cadre Controlling Authority.

“Hope law will be allowed to take its course. Odisha will watch,’ BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi said in a tweet while sharing a letter of Department of Personnel and Training under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension.

Rupesh Kumar , Under Secretary to Government, has sent a letter to Odisha Chief Secretary citing complaint against an IAS officer of Odisha cadre.

“The undersigned is directed to forward herewith a complaint dated 24.06.2023 along with a CD and a pen drive from MP Bhubaneswar Aparajita Sarangi and BJP State president Manmohan Samal against an IAS officer of Odisha cadre for action as appropriate,’ the missive said.

Meanwhile, alleging ‘violation’ of AIS Conduct Rules by Odisha 5T Secretary VK Pandian, Congress leader Bijay Kumar Patnaik has written to the Central Government demanding appropriate measures in this regard.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India, Patnaik said the name of VK Pandian appears on hoardings bearing the symbol of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
