BHUBANESWAR: On Tuesday evening, Rajani Kanta Majhi, JE, Delanga Block, in Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand) from a Contractor for facilitating release of final bill towards construction of Anganwadi Centre. The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused Sri Majhi, JE and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Majhi.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case no 18/2023 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Majhi, JE. Detailed report follows.
