Traditional ‘Silasnana Niti’ Held ahead of Silanyaas Ceremony in Puri

PURI/BHUBANESWAR: The Yajna Karya for third day of Shilanyas ceremony for ShreeMandira Parikrama Project is going on Tuesday. Before the start of Yajna Karya, Surya Puja and other rituals conducted as per schedule.  Ahead of Shilanyaas ceremony for ShreeMandira Parikrama Project, traditional stone bathing (Silasnan) held.

Gajapati King had handed over betel nuts to perform three day Yajna on Sunday, following which Yagnya began on Monday. The Chief Minister Paatnaik is scheduled to perform Purna Ahuti of the Yajna and perform Bhumi Pujan ceremony on November 24.  Swami Nischalananda Saraswati the Sankaracharya of Gobardhan Peeth will also remain present on the occasion.

Parikrama ,a 7- lane wide pathway around the Meghanad prachir for devotees to circumambulate the temple, will facilitate devotees to perform circumambulation of the shrine in the heritage corridor.
