Specifying other pressing problems of the constituency he said that SC and ST people are regularly harassed and being deprived of getting benefits from Government Schemes and programmes, Temples are much neglected in the entire district, Farmers are underpaid because of poor marketing facilities and unavailability of cold storage, youths are suffering due to acute unemployment problem and the District is lacking of post graduation level and skill oriented education system.
Once got elected as a Member of Parliament, his first step and foremost priority will be to address all these genuine issues of the people, Dr Behera declared. He will also impress upon Central Government to expedite the proposed Railway line connectivity to Jajpur town and to set up an University on Buddhism and Maritime heritage at Ratnagiri, Dr Behera added.
Now engaged in a hectic campaign schedule everyday from early morning to late night, Dr Behera’s popularity has been soaring in every passing day. Being the proud son of the soil, as a native of Hatasahi village in Rasulpur Block, Dr Behera’s achievement of accomplishing highest excellence in IT sector at national level as a senior Director of National Informatics centre speaks volumes about his extraordinary merit and exceptional talent. Hailing from a humble background of lower middle class scheduled caste family, Dr Behera has the huge advantage of personally knowing the people’s problems and their possible solutions at ground zero level.
