Subhrakant Panda appointed Chairman of FICCI National Manufacturing Committee

BHUBANESWAR:  Subhrakant Panda, MD of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), has been appointed Chairman of the National Manufacturing Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

Subhrakant Panda is younger brother of BJP National VP-Spokesperson and 4th times former MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda.

Established in 1927, FICCI is the largest and oldest apex business organization in India. From influencing policy to encouraging debate, engaging with policy makers and civil society, FICCI articulates the views and concerns of industry.

IMFA is India’s leading producer of value added ferro chrome with manufacturing facilities and captive mines in Odisha providing livelihood to around 6500 families.

Commenting of the development, Subhrakant Panda said: “I am honoured to have this opportunity. Manufacturing is an important sector and its growth can contribute significantly both to GDP as well as employment. It is also especially relevant for Odisha and I look forward forward to highlighting the State’s potential to the investor community and other stakeholders.”
