BHUBANESWAR: On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, BBSR with the help of Balasore District police near Balasore Railway Station under Sahadevkhunta Police Station, Balasore on 17.10.2022 early morning against illegal dealing/possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended two drug peddlers namely Sk Raju S/o. Sk Kalimuddin of Police Lane PWD Colony PO: Azmibad PS. Sahadevkhunta Dist. Balasore and Amzad Khan S/o. Himat Khan @ Mamtaj of Khaparapada PS. Sahadevkhunta Dist. Balasore.
During search contraband brown sugar weighing 01 kg 060 gm, One Hero CD Delux M/C and other incriminating materials were recovered and seized from their possession. The accused persons could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which the accused persons were arrested and is being forwarded to the court of District & Sessions cum Spl. Judge, Balasore. In this connection STF PS Case No.23 dated 17.10.2022 U/s 21(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985 was registered. Investigation is on.
Special drive against narcotic drugs is continuing.Since 2020, STF has seized more than 60 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin, 202 Gram Cocaine and more than 111 quintals of Ganja/Marijuna, Opium 750 gram and arrested more than 162 drug dealers/peddlers.
