BHUBANESWAR: Two hundred NSS volunteers from ten eastern and north eastern states will participate in a 10-day Pre-Republic Day Parade Camp to be held at the SOA Deemed to be University commencing on Sunday.
The participants representing Bhubaneswar, Kolkata and Guwahati Regional Directorates of NSS would attend the camp by following all the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the central government, Odisha government and the UGC, according to Dr. Nachiketa K. Sharma, Programme Coordinator of NSS Bureau of SOA Deemed to be University.
The camp will be held at the campus of Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has already accorded permission for organization of the event.
One hundred boys and 100 girls from the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura will attend the camp. They will be accompanied by ten Programme Officers and six officers from the Regional Directorate at Bhubaneswar, Dr. Sharma said.
