BHUBANESWAR: Even though the country’s social, economic, cultural and religious systems were damaged due to foreign invasions for thousand years, the saints and great persons were able to maintain the ‘Swa’ in the country. This ‘Swa’ means Swadharma, Swadeshi and Swaraj. Now in the light of ‘whole World is one family’ (Vasudheiva Kutumbakam), our country is moving in the path of World peace, friendship and human welfare . In this period of Amritkal Sangh is calling for the re-establishment of ‘swa’ and also to remember the freedom fighters and saints as briefed by Samir Kumar Mohanty.
Today, in a press conference held on behalf of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Odisha, Samir Kumar Mohanty,Pranta Sanghachalak,Odisha Purba said that we have to establish a society free from colonial mind-set and establishment of eternal (Sanatan) values and the development of Swadeshi economy . In this regard, Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call for ‘Pachaprana’ is significant. Further the land, water, air, fire and sky should be free from pollution. The society has to be vigilant against the conspiracy of some internal and external forces who create discrimination, mistrust, instability and anarchy in the country by opposing these values.
Sri Mohanty said that the above call was given by RSS in the meeting of the Akhila Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha held at Samalakha, Panipat (Haryana). This meeting continued for three days from March 12 to 14. 1474 representatives from across the country including 40 from Odisha participated in it. According to the information received in this meeting, 68,651 daily Sakha and 26,877 weekly Sakha are running across the country. Similarly, 1855 daily Sakha and 469 weekly Sakha are running in Odisha.. Sangha work is continuing in 99% of the districts and 88% of the blocks in India. 7,25,000 persons have desired to Join in RSS across the country through the join RSS website. Out of which 60% are youths. This number is 15,200 in Odisha .
At the beginning of the meeting, tributes were paid to the late great personalities of the country. Among them Film actress Jharana Das, film artist Pintu Nanda, eminent social activists Rakhal Kumar Dey and Dr. Shiv Prasad Rath belong to Odisha .
According to the decision of this meeting, in the coming days, the Sangh will focus more on five issues to transform the society. They are social harmony, family reformation, environmental protection, indigenous (swadeshi) attitude and civic consciousness . In Odisha too, the Sangha Sakha will carry forwad this work with determination. The centenary year of the Sangha is going to start from Vijaya Dashami of 2025. On this occasion Steps will be taken for qualitative Sangha work along with the study of problems of various villages and slums in urban areas and their solutions with the help of the society at large.
Further on the occasion of the 200th birth anniversary of Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati, 350th year of coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and 2550th anniversary of attainment of Nirvana of Lord Mahabir Swami, the RSS will pay its homage to these great souls.All Swayamsevaks will assist in celebration of these programmes organized by the Society .
