BHUBANESWAR: Young OAS Officer and Additional Tehsildar of Purussottampur block of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s home turf in southern district of Ganjam, Dr Janmejaya Sahu, has completed his PhD Degree from Central University of Hyderabad , where his research work on “Role of Youth in Panchayati Raj Institutions: A Study in Odisha has been highly appreciated by the examiners and guides. Dr Sahu get the degree vide notice no-UH/Exams/Ph.D/30/20 dated 26.05-2020.
“I have successfully defended my PhD research work on “Role of Youth in Panchayati Raj Institutions: A Study in Odisha” in presence of External Examiner, Prof. Narender Kumar of JNU, Prof.Arun Kumar Pattnaik, Dean, School of Social Sciences, Prof. Manjari Katju, Head, Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad through online Skype,” Dr Sahu, who is also a former General Secretary of BJB Autonomous College Students’ Union, told over phone. Dr Sahu also thanked his teachers Prof. G.Sudarshanam and Prof. Ramdas Rupavath , who supervised his papers.
“I am humbled to thank all above mentioned Professors and known ones for completion of my PhD work. Also, I am happy to thank another External Examiner, Prof Jagpal Singh of IGNOU, New Delhi for timely evaluation of my research work.Once again, I thank all who have helped me directly or indirectly for my success,” Dr Sahu twitted.
Dr Sahu, hails from a very humble family of Kharijapatna under Pipli Assembly segment of pilgrimage district of Puri and proud son of Bhagaban and Sajjani Sahu. Dr Sahu has been outstanding throughout his academic career and was first qualified the Odisha Revenue Service , after serving several years, Dr Sahu promoted to Odisha Administrative Rank and posted as Additional Tehsildar of Purussottampur block of Ganjam.
