NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National Vice President and In Charge of Assam and Delhi , Baijayant Jay Panda on Thursday while lauding the dedication and foundation laying ceremony for more than Rs 8000 Crore Railways Projects, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said “Indeed a momentous day for Odisha & the Indian Railways!,”.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation, several railway projects worth more than Rs 8000 crores in Odisha via video conferencing today. The projects include flagging off the Vande Bharat Express between Puri and Howrah, laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Puri and Cuttack railway stations, dedication of 100% electrification of the rail network in Odisha, doubling of the Sambalpur-Titlagarh rail line, a new broad gauge rail line between Angul – Sukinda; the third line connecting Manoharpur – Rourkela – Jharsuguda – Jamga and a new broad-gauge line between Bichhupali – Jhartarbha.
“The arrival of Vande Bharat Express in Odisha, connecting Howrah to Puri, will significantly magnify tourism and the state’s economy,” the 4th times former MP Panda said in a series of tweets.
“ Indeed a momentous day for Odisha & the Indian Railways! Under the leadership of PM @narendramodi, the introduction of the first #VandeBharatExpress and achieving 100% electrification of Railways in Odisha are deeply appreciated. Odisha embraces speed, technology, and sustainability,” Panda said.
The arrival of Vande Bharat Express in Odisha, connecting Howrah to Puri, will significantly magnify tourism and the state’s economy. The inauguration of Railway projects worth over Rs 8,000 crores will enhance the Railways network in the state, boost the local economy, and spur economic growth, the BJP leader said.
‘The complete electrification of the Railways in Odisha is yet another milestone for the Indian Railways, aligning with PM’s vision of achieving zero net emissions by 2070.Certainly, Odisha is poised to embark on a new trajectory of growth & development,’ the BJP National VP said.
