Pratap Keshari Deb visits Crocodile attack victim’s family in Rajkanika

RAJKANIKA/AUL: Aul MLA and former Minister Pratap Keshari Deb has met the family members of Rudra Behera, a class -10 student, who died after attacked by crocodile while bathing at Parimakundapur village under Parinuapada GP under Rajknaika block of Kendrapara’s Aul Assembly segment.

MLA Deb along with local BJD leaders, visited the victim Rudra Behera’s family and met his father Bholanath Behera. MLA Deb assured all possible support to the bereaved family and he also assured to expedite ex-gratia announced by the District Administration of Rs 4 lakh compensation to the victim’s family. MLA Deb  has also requested district administration erect bathing barricades at villages facing sea. Earlier, Kendrapara MP, Anubhav Mohanty has also met the family members.

Sources said in an unfortunate incident, a 15-year-old boy was attacked and dragged into Kharasrota river by a crocodile in Parimakundapur village under Rajkanika block of Kendrapada district.The victim, Rudra Behera  a class 10 student of Barunadiha LB Nodal High School, and son of Bholanath Behera was taking a bath in the river when the incident occurred at around 2 pm.
