CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: As many as 18 IPS Officers including 5 District SPs were on Thursday transferred by the Naveen Patnaik led Odisha Government.
IPS officer of 1989 batch, Amrit Mohan Prasad, on return from Central posting, has been appointed as Special DGP, Human Rights Protection Cell while 1990 batch IPS Sudhansu Sarangi, who was Special DG, Railways and Coastal security, shifted and posted as new Director General of Fire Services, Home Guard and Civil Defence.
RK Sharma, who was ADGP(Law and Order) , shifted and appointed as ADGP (Headquarters), Sanjay Kumar, who was ADGP(Modernisation) , shifted and appointed ADGP Law and Order and Communication, Amitabh Thakur, who was ADGP(Opeartions) is the new Transport Commissioner, Additional DGP (Headquarters) Suresh Dev Datta Singh shifted and posted as Additional DGP (Operations) and Dayal Gangwar, on retrun from Central posting , joined the State and posted as ADGP Railways and Coastal Security.
Additional DGP , SFSL Rajesh Kumar, a 1998 batch IPS officer has been posted as Additional DGP Modernization, Narasingha Bhol is the new Excise Commissioner, Asish Singh is the IGP, Central Range, Cuttack and IG, SFSL.
Rajesh Pandit has been given the post of DIG, Fire Service and Home Guard, Akhilesvar Singh is DIG, SIW and CS Meena is the new DIG, Koraput.
The five SPs who got new districts are- Kusalkar Nitin Dagdu of Keonjhar , Khilari Rishikesh of Bolangir, Mitrabhanu Mahapatra of Rourkela, Battula Gangadhar of Mayurbhanj and Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo of Sambalpur,
