NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: As many as 127 Odia workers mostly from Odisha’s Kalahandi, Bargarh, Rourkela and Berhampur, who have been straneded at Tiripur in Tamil Nadu ,on Wednesday got huge relief after food materails reached to them.
Sources said, the stranded people were in 2 groups, had contacted BJP National VP-Spokesperson Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda for help and immediately, Panda , a former 4th times Parliamentraian from Odisha, took up the matter with BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit.
Soon after getting information as many as 127 Odia workers have been stranded in Tiripur in Tamil Nadu, former MP, Panda, had talked to BJP National secretary Y Satyakumar and after that BJP’s Students wing leaders led by Prithiwi GA met Tiripur Collector and apprised the whole matter.
BJP National Vice-President Panda thanked Party’s Tamil Nadu as well as District Administration of Tiripur while Odia workers hailed the Senior leader’s efforts for them.
