TALCHER/KANIHA:One day block level programme for teachers on Sarva Sikshya Abhiyan activities was organised on 5.3.2017 by NTPC Talcher Kaniha in association with Block Education Officer,Kaniha.
The training programme was inaugurated by Debasis Sarkar ,Group General Manager,Talcher Kaniha , Nirajan Sahoo ,DPC (Angul) ,Ajit Kumar Patel ,BEO (Banrpal), Khagaswar Behera ,BEO(Kaniha),Dr Joginath Sahoo,ABEO cum BRCC & A K Ojha ,GM(HR).
Around 650 teachers assembled on this occasion from various upper and primary schools of Kaniha block.15000 students will be benefitted from the training programme. The training programme covered various topics e.g education for school children, use of computers and the special focus on education of SC & ST students & mid-day meal.
Speaking on this occasion during inaugural session, GGM ,Talcher Kaniha said “ the training programme is really appreciable. He stated ‘Right to Free education‘ for every student is vital for the development of the country. Education is a big requirement in Odisha especially in terms of literacy rate of Odisha is around 75 % as compared to Kerala which is more than 90%. The real challenge is to provide education to SC /ST population and girls.”
He further added “education does not have a second option, he hoped the training will be interesting and teachers will take away the inputs and implement practically.During concluding session around 60 teachers were provided with appreciation letter for their exceptional work.
