NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club distributes books to encourage reading habits among Children

RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi under CSR initiative distributed books to children of Marwari School, Ranchi today. On the occasion, Smt Mahua Mazumder, President, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club interacting with the school children enquired about the type of books they like to read other than academic books. In reply, children shared that they prefer to read literature, history and biography etc. 

She appreciated the efforts of children to have a likeness to read books especially in the disruptive age of internet and social media. Sharing that reading a book is always special for a book reader even though the same is available digitally. She stated that a nice collection of books by eminent writers has been distributed which will help the children in inculcating reading habit, improve their vocabulary and knowledge which has become essential in the modern age as we are drifting more towards digitization.

 Smt Mazumder concluded her address by stating “A Good reader will always become a good speaker due to regular reading habit, so be a good book reader to prosper in life”.Later ,Smt Mazumder took the initiative of distributing the books to the children which was followed by committee members of Swayamsiddha Ladies Club.

Shri Ashish Kumar ,Principal ,Marwari School, and Teachers on the occasion applauded the initiative of distribution of books which will provide a good opportunity to promote reading books among children and enhance their knowledge to become successful.
