BHUBANESWAR: Nayapalli PS Case No-599, Dt 23.12.2023, U/S 454/380 IPC.
OCCURRENCE: On Dtd 23.12.2023, Complaint Smt Anusha Mohanty of Flat No. 105, Block- B, Nirupama Apartment, PS – Nayapalli reported at PS in written alleging there in that, on dtd 23.12.2023, while she along with her family members were out on personal work and the house was under lock and key. At about 03.30 PM, one white colour unregistered Hyundai Aura car entered to the apartment through the main gate and unknown culprits got down from the vehicle.
They broke open the main wooden door of her house and committed burglary of Rs 13 Lakhs from the almirah. After committing the crime, all the culprits absconded by the same car from the spot. She reported at Nayapalli PS after verifying CCTV footage & on getting information from her neighbours for investigation of the incident for arrest of the involved accused persons and recovery of the stolen cash.
INVESTIGATION: Suspecting the involvement of outstate criminals in series of apartment burglary cases Commissionerate Police BBSR UPD took very swift action and busted a gang of four interstate burglars apprehending two of them from Gujarat and Haryana. Search is on to nab the other accused persons.
NAME AND ADDRESS OF ACCUSED: Dinesh Ku Saha (42), S/O Brundaban Saha, D/403, Samajwali Apartment, Kathada Road, PS- Odhav, Ahmedabad City, State- Gujurat and Pawan Kumar (36), S/O- Late Mulsingh Kumar of Kheri- 51, Talwana, PS- Kanina, Dist- Mahendragarh, State- Haryana.
ARTICLES SEIZED: One Hyundai Aura White Car without number plate, A cash of Rs 2,15,000/-., Mobile phones of the accused.
MODUS OPERANDI: Investigation transpired that, many interstate active criminals are operating from Haryana, Rajsthan, Gujurat & Maharashtra state & mastered in commission of Apartment burglary cases. They use new cars so also cars using fake registration number plates commission of this crime. In a group of 3-4 members, they target other states & make a thorough reccee of apartments without security guard or apartments having less frisking system. One member remains inside the car & others search the locked flats of the Apartment & using house breaking elements, they break open the main door for commission of the crime. Then, they leave the area with stolen articles by the car.
INVOLVEMENT: This gang is involved in more than 20 cases of different states like Gujurat, Uttarpradesh, Andhrapradesh, Delhi & Odisha& active since last 10 years. They are to be forwarded today & remand report will be submitted against them, As they are habitual burglars, they will be booked u/s- 110 CrPC.
