BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was on Monday wishes a very healthy and long life for Tibetan exile leader and His Holiness Dalai Lama on his 85th Birth Day.
“Warm wishes to His Holiness Dalai Lama on birthday. May you be blessed with good health and long life, spreading love, compassion and peace in the world,” Naveen Patnaik tweeted.
Revered globally as a ‘living god’, Buddhist spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, who transcends all barriers of religion, language and even distances, turned 85 on Monday and his followers began the global virtual celebrations to dedicate him the ‘Year of Gratitude’.
The spiritual leader in a video message from his abode in Dharmasala asked his followers that it was not possible for a large number of people to hold a big celebration because of restrictions due to the pandemic.
