BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was on Thursday again pitched an emotional appal again to contain COVID-19.Patnaik said June month is very crucial in the fight against the COVID-19. “If you do not come out of house, corona will not reach you,” he said.
“Easing of lockdown does not mean the deadly virus has disappeared. This is a long battle and we have to be very careful. As no vaccine or medicine has been developed to cure COVID-19 and monsoon is ahead, we have to be very careful,” said the Chief Minister in a video message.
He urged people to stay home for 17 days in the month of June during shutdown and night curfew.
As per the data released by the State health department, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the deadly infection has touched 1481 with 60 new recoveries. 14 from Ganjam, 10 each from Jagatsinghpur & Kendrapara, 8 from Bhadrak, 7 from Keonjhar, 6 from Bolangir, 3 from Khurda, 2 each from Balasore & Jajpur, 1 each from Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda & Kandhamal
As many as four persons have tested positive for novel coronavirus in State capital during the last 24 hours. While three are local contact cases, one has detected from home quarantine. Here’s the details of new cases:
One case detected from home quarantine linked to earlier positive case of Kalinga Vihar. One case belongs to Aiginia, Patrapada area.One case is an employee of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
One case belongs to Dumduma area with secondary contact of one of the earlier positive case of Kalinga Vihar.
