BHUBANESWAR:  The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is afraid of losing the election, and the office of the Chief Minister is repeatedly violating the code of conduct. The Chief Minister himself does not want a free, fair and impartial election in Odisha. This is why BJD leaders, Ministers and MPs and government officials are repeatedly violating the code of conduct.

Yesterday, when a new leader of VK Pandian visited the Puri temple late at night, an administrative officer of the chief minister’s office, R Vineel Krishna, was present there. We have handed over the photos and videos to the Chief Electoral Officer of the state.

Even though the model code of conduct has been implemented since March 16, the district administration and the chief minister’s office have been repeatedly violating the rules. Earlier, an OSD officer had taken the resignation letter of a former MP in Naveen’s residence. Similarly, Gopbandhu Das, who is doing a road show for BJD, is still in the Chief Minister’s office.

The followers of the Chief Minister want to win the election by misusing the government funds. The state election officer should immediately investigate the incident and take action. Former state president Mr. Sameer Mohanty said that if they deviate from this, they will meet the  Election Commission of India.

A delegation of BJP led by former state president Shri Sameer Mohanty met the state chief election officer today with facts and evidence and demanded to take exemplary action on the issue of flagrant violation of the election code of conduct of the ruling BJJ. Mr. Mohanty demanded that the Chief Electoral Officer of the State investigate the matter and take strict steps to make the general election arbitrary and impartial.

Some non-Orthodox officers are openly using the Chief Minister’s officers in violation of the code of conduct. The Chief Minister’s office routinely violates the election code of conduct. Mr. Mohanty said that the Chief Minister is repeatedly using his office for political work in fear of election defeat.

State Vice President Golak Mahapatra, State Secretary Kasturi Mishra, State Chief Spokesperson Sajjan Sharma, State Spokesperson Satyabrat Panda, State Media Coordinator Sujith Kumar Das, Social Media Head Umakant Patnaik, State Election Cell Coordinator Jayant Jena were prominently present in this delegation.
