Naveen Patnaik condole the death of MP Guv Lalji Tandon

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was on Tuesday morning expressed his deepest condolence on the passing away of Madhya Pradesh Governor and BJP veteran, Lalji Tandon.

“Deeply saddened to know the passing away of Madhya Pradesh Governor and veteran leader, #LaljiTandon. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family. RIP,” tweeted Odisha CM Patnaik.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon died on Tuesday morning. He was 85. Tandon’s demise was announced by his son Ashutosh. Tandon became minister in Kalyan Singh government in Uttar Pradesh and was later appointed urban development minister in the Mayawati regime of the BJP-BSP alliance.

Tandon was admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Lucknow on June 11 with breathing problems, difficulty in urination and fever.

“Lalji Tandon was on ventilator following a minor surgery,” hospital director Dr Rakesh Kapoor said.He added, “Tandon was admitted at Medanta Hospital Lucknow on the morning of June 11 with problems in breathing, difficulty in urination and fever. He was kept under supervision of doctors.”

His Covid-19 sample was reported negative at the time of admission.After the operation, Tandon was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where his condition kept on deteriorating. He was under strict supervision of medical experts.
