Naveen Patnaik announces compassionate assistance for COVID-19 Warriors

BHUBANESWAR:  Reviewing Covid Management in the State, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik lauded commitment of #CovidWarriors who have been fighting against pandemic for last eight months. CM assured compassionate assistance from State Govt for the families of martyred #CovidWarriors. #OdishaCares.

Citing that 78% people are staying in home quarantine, CM advised senior officials to directly contact those patients and others staying at Covid Hospitals to know about their well-being. CM emphasised on need to create comprehensive awareness on anti-viral drugs.

CM Patnaik expressed satisfaction as the number of recoveries in #Odisha crossed two lakh milestone. Odisha has a recovery rate of 89% compared to national recovery rate of 85%. In last eight months, 3.6 million tests were conducted, of which 6.75% cases came positive.

Ahead of Puja season, CM urged people to be more vigilant and strictly abide by #COVID19 protocol. CM suggested effective testing, generation of testing reports, information provision & medical care to patients based on feedback from people under Mo Sarkar 5T.
