Know details of CBI Raids on East Coast Railway’s Ex- Principal Chief Operations Manager, Pramod K Jena

BHUBANESWAR:   CBI lodges FIR against Pramod K Jena, retired Principal Chief Operations Manager, East Coast Railway.The percentage of DA possessed by PK Jena is 59.09%, said CBI.Since the above information prima facie , discloses commission of cognizable offence by Jena, punishable under section 13(2)r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act 1988 and U/s 13(1)(b) of PC act(as amended in 2018), a FIR is registered against PK Jena.

FIR mentions that Sri Jena is in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income & illicit enrichment.CBI said, during the check period, from 01-04-2005 to 31-03-2020, PK Jena and his family have earned income to the tune of Rs 3,25,24,893 from all known sources and they had incurred expenditure to the tune of Rs 88,58,745. As such, their likely savings during the said period amounts to Rs 2,36,66,148 but it is found that Jena, has acquired immovable and movable assets to the tune of Rs 4,28,87,553 in his name and names of his family members.

The CBI further said, during the check period from 01-04-2005 to 31-03-2022, PK Jena has acquired assets to the tune of Rs 1,92,21,405( Rs 4,28,87,553-Rs 2,36,66148) which is disproportionate to his known sources of income and which he can’t satisfactorily account for. The percentage of DA is 59.09%.

Earlier, Former IRTS Officer and former Principal Chief Operations Manager of East Coast Railway, Pramod K Jena was under CBI scanner. CBI conducted raids over DA case involving Pramod K Jena, who recently retired from service, sources said.  As many as 5 teams of CBI conducting searches at 4 places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur, sources added. A 1987-batch officer of IRTS, Jena had recently retired from service and hails from Kolar village in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha.
