KENDRAPARA/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP-Spokesperson and 4th times former MP, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda was on Thursday paid a visit to super cyclone Amphan hit areas of Purusottampur, Iswharpur, Bagapatia and several others under Talchua Marine Police Station of Kendrapara’s Rajnagar Assembly segment to meet the affected people and asses the damaged caused due to the devastating cyclone, which left 1 dead in the district.
The senior BJP leader, Panda, who represented the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat twice, flanked by district unit leaders discussed with locals and assured all possible help from the Central Government. It was senior BJP leader’s first Kendrapara visit after some relaxations were announced on motor vehicle movement. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 , the former MP , Panda has been very active and playing a decisive role in bringing stranded Odias from various States and outside India.
“The former MP’s offices located in New Delhi, Bhubaneswar and Kendrapara working overtime to ensure that not a single from Odisha faced trouble outside and a special attention has been paid to people of Kendrapara by the senior BJP leader Panda since the COVID-19 hits normal life,” sources said.
Meanwhile, the sitting MP , Anubhav Mohanty, who own the 2019 Lok Sabha polls in name of Biju Babu’s Karmabhoomi and Kendrapara’s Swabhiman now became a trouble for the Parliamentary segment and missing from the scene. The sitting MP’s missing has not gone well with the people of Kendrapara if anyone looks into social media trolling on the BJD leader.
Since past 3 months Kendrapara MP Mohanty seems missing if anyone closely looks into his activities since the COVID-19 outbreak. Only his wife, Barsa Priyadarshi was seen giving a facemask to a woman, the location unknown.
“During the last 4 phases of Nationwide lockdown, both Union Home and Health , Family Welfare Ministries, Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Road Transport have been relaxing various restrictions keeping the ground situation in reality. If MP Mohanty wants, he may not have major hurdles to reach Odisha but it seems he don’t want to back to home and visit his Parliamentary segment,” sources argued.
One Manoj Dash twitted to BJP leader Panda requesting him to take steps, so that the stranded Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty from New Delhi. “I am requesting former MP Baijayant Panda as he is bringing others from outside and he should taken for safe return of Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty, who has been stranded at New Delhi since COVID-19 outbreak,” Dash twitted to Panda, which creates buzz in social media.
“Baijayant Panda bringing people from Kolkata to Chennai to New Delhi to Bangalore to Gulf to South Asia to Europe to home through his efforts but our MP Mohanty not getting time to come Odisha,” added a source in Bhubaneswar.
