ANGUL/BHUBANESWAR: Satyabrat Mohapatra, son of Srikant Mohapatra and Sumitra Mohapatra had a life amidst struggle since childhood days. He suffered burn injury accidentally when he crawled as a one year old baby and accidentally put right hand in neighbour’s hot big oil pan and declared physically challenged by doctors even after treatment. Satyabrat Mohapatra has cleared Odisha Civil Service Examination 2020. Son of a hawker in Angul bus stand and physically challenged Satyabrat cracked this prestigious examination with a rank of 279.
Satyabrat came across “UTKARSH”, the free of cost coaching programme by JSP Foundation through its Angul plant on free national level pre-recruitment coaching classes by Gurukul Foundation’s IAS Gurukul.
Satyabrat joined in free of cost coaching classes and was inspired by the inaugural words of JSP Foundation’s message by Shallu Jindal, the Chairperson of JSP Foundation whose visionary support helped many like Satyabrat to carve out a niche in their lives. He prepared hard with good strategy without leaving any stone unturned. Undeterred by his physical challenges, Satyabrat’s motivation remained on highest ebb.
Finally Satyabrat qualified civil service exam and accolades poured in.”This is an important milestone in my life and I will try for IAS soon. I am grateful to JSP Foundation who collaborated with Gurukul Foundation’s IAS Gurukul Odisha to help the Angul aspirants,” said Satyabrat.
