NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: A day after joining the BJP, Jitin Prasada on Saturday called on Party’s National VP in Charge of Assam and Delhi, former 4th times MP, from Odisha, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda in New Delhi and discussed various issues.
“It was a pleasure to catch up with my old friend Shri @JitinPrasada Ji today. He is intelligent, sincere, accessible, & is eager to work in @BJP4India for the national interest. I am sure we will have several occasions to work together on the BJP’s many initiatives for the public,” BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda tweeted @PandaJay.
Jitin Prasada, who was among the G-23 leaders Congress, joined in BJP in presence of Union Minister Piyush Goyal and others few days back.
The BJP National VP Jay Panda had earlier welcomed Prasada’s entry into BJP . “I welcome my friend #JitinPrasada to the world’s largest political party. In @BJP4India, which believes in nation first, party next, & family last, this suave, intelligent, down to earth politician will be able to achieve his potential & serve the people,” BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda had tweeted @PandaJay earlier.
The former Union Minister Prasada, who had been disappointed with the Congress, switched over to the BJP . Prasada was the second leader close to Gandhi after Jyotiradtya Scindia to switch over to the BJP.
