BHUBANESWAR: Is BJD’s De Facto Boss, VK Pandian writing Party’s organisation general secretary and MLA Prannab Prakash Das alias Bobby’s Political obituary? Isn’t it beginning of political end of Bobby Das?
These are now a billion dollar questions after Party Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik , announced Jajpur MLA’s name as Party’s MP candidate against Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat. Is this is Pandiyan’s plan to end Bobby Das’s political Carrier.
Besides all the analysis it seems Bobby Das is being made the scapegoat for some reason best known to the top brass.
Upto 2021 Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das was told to be the next face of BJD as per every outside and inside reports.
Instead of giving him the MLA ticket why was he given the MP ticket. Why would Sambalpur MP ticket given to an outsider when the language dialect has always been a barrier?
Sambalpurias are intransigent and they guard their self-respect, pride and dignity fiercely. I don’t think they will accept outsiders as their representative.It remains to be seen how Congress puts up the candidate.
Outsider identity will matter if someone contest as independent not belonging to that region but won’t matter when he is party’s candidate. BJP had won Sambalpur Parliamentary seat by mere 9162 margin while BJP had won 3 Assembly seats & lost 3 Assembly seats by margin around 5,000 votes except Athmalik.
Pro Naveen Patnaik political experts arguing that by nominating Bobby Das to contest from Sambalpur, CM Patnaik has put an end to all speculations and whispers about friendly fights.
Bobby Das has won thrice consecutively from Jajpur and he wouldn’t have faced any difficulty in getting elected from Jajpur for the 4th time. The Sambalpur contest is tougher than Jajpur, but Bobby Das put party interests first by expressing his willingness to contest from this famous Western Odisha seat.
Meanwhile, Sambalpur is now more of anti -BJD attitude and demand from Koshal has increased multifolds, to which BJP will use it and BJD will have tough time.
Some arguing also that it was a Political suicide for Bobby Das ? If he wins, he is out of State politics. If he loses, gate of Naveen Niwas will forever be closed for him? It’s a loss – loss for him only. Well attempted move by VK Pandian to keep Bobby Das out of power.
