BHUBANESWAR: Call it Man from Bihar is flying high in Odisha. The 1998 batch IPS officer, Amitabh Thakur, one of the trusted lieutenants of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has been winning the trust of the State Government in its fight against COVID-19.
With flamboyant IPS officer Thakur, who is presently, IGP (Operations) with Nodal Officer of State Home Department’s control Room on COVID-19, has been given additional charge as Special Secretary (Home). The IGP would look after the matters relating to Covid-19 in addition to his existing duties.
