Dr S Jaishankar –Baijayant Panda Talks on North East Development

BHUBANESWAR/GUWAHATI: Union Minister for External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar flanked by Ambassador of Japan to India Satoshi Suzuki paid a visit to North Eastern States of Assam, which is going for Assembly polls in months of time from now, and held talks with BJP National Vice-President in Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda and Union Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma on development north eastern region of the India, the principal thrust of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Union External Affairs Minister Jaishankar and Japanese Ambassador Suzuki were apprised about various developmental work taken up in Assam and Prime Minister Modi’s vision for entire North-East. Both Jaishankar and Panda also talked to Japanese Ambassador about PM Modi’s policy towards Japan and India’s bilateral relationship in recent years.
