BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP National VP In Charge of Delhi and Assam, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda have condemned the brutal murder of BJP leader and former Mahanga Block chairman, Kulamani Baral in Cuttack district.
“I am very saddened and saddened to hear from the media that the senior leader of our party and the former president of Mahanga block, Kalamani Baraj, has been brutally murdered in the Cuttack district Mahanga constituency.Sri Baraj was known as a simple and innocent social worker. There will be differences of opinion and debate in social life but violence and murder, there can’t be anything more sad.I believe the administration will take action on this incident. Condolences to the bereaved family and wishing for the rest of the immortal soul,” Union Minister Pradhan said in a statement.

Sources said Kulamani along with associate Pachaa Baral was returning home on Shukanai embankment road in a vehicle. More than six miscreants attacked Kulamani and his associate injuring the two critically in the darkness.With the help of locals, the two injured were immediately taken in an ambulance to the Mahanga hospital where doctors declared Kulamani as brought dead. His associate was shifted to the SCB Hospital in Cuttack in a critical condition.Though the exact reason is not known, previous enmity is suspected to have led the attack.
