MALKANGIRI/SUNABEDA/CUTTACK: DGP, Odisha Abhay, visited District Police Headquarters of Malkangiri, Koraput and Kandhamal on Sunday and reviewed the crime and LWE scenario with Senior Police Officers of Odisha Police and other agencies. He reviewed the overall LWE scenario and commended the achievements made in successfully countering Maoist menace. He once again appealed to the Maoists cadres for leaving the path of violence and joining mainstream for peaceful development of these areas through democratic means.
Director Intelligence, RK Sharma, ADGP (Headquarters), Lalit Das, IGP (Operation), Amitabh Thakur, DIG SIW Anirudha Singh, DIG, SWR, Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao, SP Malkangiri Rishikesh Dnyandeo Khilari, SP Koraput Varun Guntupalli and SP Kandhamal Vinit Agrawal, as well as other Senior Officers were present during the meeting.
DGP also commended Malkangiri Police for the great effort taken in successfully and peacefully establishing Jodambo PS and COBs at Hantaguda, Jodambo, Gurasethu and Andrahal in Swabhiman Anchal. He also applauded them for creating safe and secure environment for facilitating development works in Swabhiman Anchal on an unprecedented scale. DGP inaugurated the newly built SDPO office building at MV-2, Malkangiri. Likewise, in Koraput and Kandhamal, he reviewed the overall LWE scenario and developmental activities.
