BHUBANESWAR: Today i.e. on 03.02.2026 Hon’ble Court of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Bhubaneswar Dist. Khordha convicted 09 nos of Bangladeshi Nationals namely 1) Md. Hasim, 46 years S/o. Late Idrish Halli Vill. Gangghatia PS. Bhaluka Dist. Maymeenisingh, Bangladesh, 2) Sajib Khan @ Md Sajib, 24 years S/o. Mahammad Muktesh Khan Vill/Post. Sarankhola Rayndia Dist. Bagerhat, Bangladesh, 3) Allam Shaika, 41 years S/o. Late Wazid Sheikh of Godara PS. Morelganj Dist. Bagerhat, Bangladesh, 4) Md. Azeem, 40 years S/o. Late Md. Muslim Khan of Chhotabadra PS. Morelganj Dist. Bagerhat, Bangladesh , 5) Dilara Sheikh @ Altaf , 45 years S/o. Munaf Sheikh of , Sankibang PS. Morelganj Dist. Bagerhat , Bangladesh, 6) Md. Soha Talukdar, 36 years S/o. Abdul Khaliq Talukdar of. Sanyashigram PS. Morrelganj Dist. Bagerhat, Bangladesh, 7) Karima Begum, 25 years W/o. Md. Soha Talukdar, 8) Monira Begum, 30 years W/o. Nasir Gazi of Chandipur PS. Indukali Dist. Prispur, Bangladesh, 9) Sahana Begum, 45 years W/o. Late Jamir Alli Sheikh At/PO. Dhamrai Dist. Dhaka, Bangladesh U/s. 14 Foreigners Act, 1946 in STF PS Case No.06/2025.
Basing on the evidence Hon’ble Court sentenced the accused person to
undergo Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) for 02 Years & to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- each
and in default of payment of fine RI for 03 months.
In this case on 08.03.2025 basing on reliable information 10 number of Bangladesh
Nationals were apprehended at Bhubaneswar Railway Station. During interrogation they
gave prevaricatory statements and tried to escape from the clutches of the raiding team.
On being asked they failed to produce Pass Port, Visa or any other valid travel document. They also confessed that they have come to India in a clandestine manner without any valid authority like valid Pass Port, Visa and other travel document through a jungle area of
Assam during night time.
As the Bangladeshi Nationals have entered India secretly without any Pass Port, Visa and other travel documents and came to Bhubaneswar to reside here suppressing their real identity, they have been arrested and forwarded in the above noted case.
After successful investigation charge sheet was submitted on 5.5.2025 against the accused persons U/s. 14 Foreigners Act, 1946. During trial the prosecution has examined 06 Nos. of witnesses and exhibited 14 numbers relevant documents.
