BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered the State Government to bear the cost of his expenses in Saheed Rendo Majhi Medical College and Hospital at Bhawanipatna, in Kalahandi. 5T Secretary VK Pandian during an interaction with Krushna Chandra Ataka informed about this.
5T Secretary Pandian also posted a video clip the interaction with 33 year old Ataka. ‘All the very best Krushna. We are all proud of you and you are an inspiration to all of us.HCM @naveen_odisha has ordered government to bear the cost of his expenses in medical college,’ Pandian said.
Krushna Chandra Ataka from Rayagada , married with two kids and facing acute poverty but cleared NEET and got admission in Government medical college.
He dreamt of becoming a doctor and serving the society. He completed his plus two way back in 2008 and started working in odd jobs but kept his dream alive. In 2021 he purchased NCERT books and started preparing for NEET and cleared it this year. He attributes his success to dedicated hard work and strong determination.
Krushnachandra Ataka, agricultural labourer from the Kondh tribe, hails from Thuapadi village, under Bissamkataka block of Rayagada district.
Ataka, who returned to studies after a gap of 15 years (13 years as an agricultural labourer and two as a migrant labourer), has cracked the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical colleges, and is all set to join Saheed Rendo Majhi Medical College and Hospital, Bhawanipatna, in Kalahandi district soon.
