BHUBANESWAR: Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg chaired a meeting at the level of secretaries today and discussed various important issues. The Principal Secretary emphasized on the monthly field visits of the secretaries. The secretaries were advised to inspect other important works during their district visits, especially to review the status of drinking water projects under construction.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of 15 important work plans directed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the steps taken by the various departments. The financial situation for the year 2025-26 was reviewed.
The expenditure on agriculture and allied sectors, infrastructure, social sector and various other sectors was reviewed. It was reported that the overall expenditure of various departments increased by 10 percent compared to the previous year, while the programme expenditure increased by 15 percent.
Similarly, the revenue collection from various sources increased by 7.82 percent compared to the previous financial year. The secretaries were advised on how new proposals can be brought in the upcoming budget.
