NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Chandrayaan3, India’s third lunar exploration mission took off from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on Friday afternoon.

LVM3 Launch Vehicle Mk III takes the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft to Geo Transfer Orbit (GTO).

Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal has congratulated ISRO for the successful & historical launch of Chandrayaan3 Moon mission from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota and expressed that it will create a new chapter in the space history of India.

“Heartiest congratulations to @isro scientists on the successful launch of #Chandrayaan3, the nation’s third mission to our celestial neighbour. The historic journey to the Moon is yet another momentous leap for the country’s space exploration and scientific advancement. #ISRO,” Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said in a tweet.
