BALASORE/BHUBANESWAR: Its official now, Call it Nilagiri Son vs Nilagiri Bohu or Nana Vs Nani in Balasore Lok Sabha seat in Odisha. BJP’s Pratap Sarangi aka Nana and BJD’s Lekhasree Samantsinghar aka Lekha Nani will faces off in the ensuing Parliamentary polls in Balasore seat.
BJD named Samantsinghar, daughter in law in Nilagiri Assembly segment as its candidate against Nilagiri’s local son, BJP’s Sarangi, who won Balasore Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 12,956 votes in 2019.
With announcement of 9 more MLA candidates, BJD’s candidates tally reached at 117 of the total 147 seats in Odisha Assembly and Party has also named all its 21 Lok Sabha candidates for the twin elections, which will goes for voting in 4 phases from May 13, May 20, May 25, June 1. Counting will be on June 4.
The Naveen Patnaik led BJD on Thursday announced its 4th list of candidates, in which, the Party chosen 9 candidates for Assembly seats and repose faith on Lekhasree Samantsinghar, who switched from BJP to BJD , days back, for Balasore Lok Sabha seat. With announcement for Balasore seat, BJD has announced all its 21 Candidates for Lok Sabha which included 7 women candidates.
BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced the candidate list. As per the announcement, senior leader Prasanna Acharya to fight for Sambalpur Assembly seat while Rohit Pujari will try his luck from Rairakhol seat.
Anant Narayan Jena from Bhubaneswar Central , Braja Pradhan from Talcher, Laxmipur goes to Prabhu Jani, Telkoi goes to Madhab Sardar, Paradip goes to Gitanjali Routray, Manorama Mohanty for Nurla, Baliguda goes to Chakramani Kuanr.
