KORAPUT: BSF 151 Battalion have detected a IED at Boipariguda in State’s Koraput district, sources said on Tuesday. Acting in a source at about 7:15 am RSO party of COB Mantriam, 151 Bn during IED checking on NH 326 between Mantriam and Govindpalli, found some unusual changes (fresh digging of earth) at two places to be occupied by RSO. Party secured and searched the area with help of explosive dog and mine detector.
Thereafter party Commander immediately informed Company commander at COB Mantriam who further informed the matter to Commandant, As per direction of Commandant, complete area was secured by sending more troops and again thorough search was carried with the help of explosive dog and mine detector. After confirmation of IED by explosive dog and mine detector, Unit BD team called to do the needful.
BD team confirmed IED at one place and second place was suspected to be dummy, BD Teams after taking all precautions demolished IED in situ at about 10:40 am while no casualty reported.
