BMC takes action against shop keepers for unruly practice, 12 shops penalised

BHUBANESWAR:  City authority has closed one shop and fined Rs.1.20,000 to 12 shop in Bapuji Nagar due to their habitual insanitation  and encroachment practice. Such  acts of shop keepers  have put general public in trouble creating traffic and insanitation issues  in the locality.

Staff and SE zone  squad from Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) are repeatedly providing information and doing awareness  by visiting the area, but many of them are not changing their behavior which in turn deteriorate  the city life.

On the other hand, public in different parts of the city are also raising about encroachment and insanitation issues as deterrent  factors for such a smart city.

Pertinent to mention that, during the visit of Commissioner, BMC   Vijay Amruta Kulange in the morning hour on Saturday , it was came to the notice that many are encroaching public places and disregarding city sanitation. About two weeks  before, Additional Commissioner Suryawanshi Mayur Vikash and ZDC SE zone  Priyabrata Padhi were also on visit to the area. Finding same issues, shop keepers were warned not to repeat the practice.
