BHUBANESWAR: A BJP delegation on Monday knocked the door of State Election Commission and met Odisha Chief Electoral Officer, SK Lohani urging him to frozen bank accounts of all SHGs in Dhamnagar until by-elections are over as ruling BJD is using this mode to distribute funds to influence voters.
BJP alleged that ruling BJD is using SHGs to influence voters in Dhamnagar, where bypolls slated for November 3.
‘Today our delegation met @OdishaCeo & demanded that the bank accounts of all SHGs in Dhamnagar should be frozen until bye-elections are over as ruling BJD is using this mode to distribute funds to influence voters. Delegation comprised Smt Sonali Sahoo, Jayanta Jena & Sujit Das,” BJP Leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar said.
