BHUBANESWAR: The BJP on Saturday asked the Odisha Government to make public of UCs of Rs 38,427 crore . The BJP also alleged that the State Government not utilising budgetary allocation of Rs 21,206 crore and failed to provide utilisation certificates (UCs) of Rs 38,426 crore against various Centre-sponsored schemes.
BJP State secretary Lekhasri Samantsinghar presented the figures of a report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India at a Press meet here. Samantsinghar wanted to know why the State Government had taken loans at 6 to 8 per cent interest when the State had a cash balance of Rs 30,848 crore at the Reserve Bank. She said the Government has failed to utilise funds and returned Rs 946 crore meant for agriculture sector, Rs 922 crore from women and child development sector, Rs 381 sector from health sector to the Union Government in 2017-18.
She said the State Government has failed in implementing potato mission. Out of Rs 130 crore allocated for the purpose, only Rs 26.65 crore has been spent, she said.She further alleged that the Government has even failed to return a single rupee to chit fund investors out of the corpus fund of Rs 300 crore.
