NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: The BJP was ahead of Congress in the initial rounds of counting of votes in Manipur. Counting of votes for 60 assembly seats in Manipur is under way under tight security.
Of the 60 members house, BJP is leading in 24 while Congress in 11 , NPP 12 and others 19 in Manipur, where 31 required to form the Government.
The BJP has crossed the majority mark in Uttar Pradesh with the Saffron party winning or leading in 233 seat of the 377 seats counted so far from total of 403. In Goa, of the 40 seats, BJP wining or leading 19 where 21 required to form the Government.
In Uttar Pradesh, 202 seats required to form the Government while Yogi Adityanath is all set to became UP Chief Minister for second consecutive terms having BJP leading or winning in 233 seats in the 403 House till last reports came.
In Punjab, AAP with 89 of 117 seats, is all set to form the next Government replacing Congress , which is leading or winning in 13 seats, SAD bagged 7 while BJP remained only at 5 in Punjab and others in 3.
