BHUBANESWAR: A delegation of the BJD led by Rajya Sabha MP Dr Sasmit Patra met Odisha CEO and demanded strict action against BJP Sambalpur MLA candidate Jaynarayan Mishra for misusing children in election campaign under severe climatic conditions.
The delegation highlighted that the MLA candidate brought children for a meeting held in BJP party office in Sambalpur to fill the chairs as people did not turn up for the election meeting held on Saturday.
This was in gross violation of the Model Code of Conduct which prohibits children from being used in election campaigning, meeting or any poll-related activities.
