BHUBANESWAR: The Benami Prohibition Unit of Income Tax Department of Bhubaneswar has recently provisionally attached benami properties worth Rs 45,10,28,939/- in the form of fixed deposit and shares held in various companies namely M/s Yazdani Projects & Estates Pvt Ltd, M/s Yazdani Steel and Power Limited and M/s Yazdani International Pvt Ltd.
The modus identified from the inquiry has revealed that various bogus expenses are booked in the Books of account of M/s Sarosh Alizah Mining and the corresponding expenses are remained unpaid for many years. The same amount was transferred to various entities linked to M/s Sarosh Alizah Mining in the guise of loans and held as benami asset.
The provisional attachment order is no referred to Adjudicating authority of Kolkata for further action
