BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: BJP National VP In Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda, also a 4th times former MP, twice from Kendrapara, on Saturday paid an emotional tribute former Chief Minister while sharing photos of late legendary statesman , Biju Patnaik’s last rites and funeral at Puri’s Swargadwar, exactly this day, 24 years back in 1997.
In these photos, Baijayant Panda was seen standing right side of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, where BJD’s supremo’s elder brother Prem Patnaik and former Union Minister Dilip Ray were seen also seen touching the departed soul of Biju Babu at Swargadwar.
“On this day 24 years ago Odisha lost its tallest leader, #BijuPatnaik was a proud son of mother India, an aviator, freedom fighter, industrialist & among the foremost national leaders of his era. It was an honour to have known & been mentored by Biju uncle, a close family friend,” BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda tweeted @PandaJay.
