BHUBANESWAR: Veteran Manmohan Samal was on Sunday formally took over charge as BJP Odisha unit President at a special function held at State Party Headquarters here. Samal said, BJP was architect behind Congress’s fall in Odisha and the Party had done it 2000 and now it will be doing to oust BJD in 2024.
BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda, Outgoing president Samir Mohanty, senior leader D Purandeswari, MP Aparajita Sarangi, Jual Oram, Pratap Sarangi Basant Panda, Sangeeta Singh Deo, Leader of Opposition Jay Narayan Mishra, former Minister KV Singh Deo and other leaders attended the function.
Meanwhile addressing the gathering, BJP National VP Baijayant Panda said, today is start start of the “notice period” for Odisha’s ruling party to be ousted for its misgovernance. The energy and enthusiasm of the karyakartas has begun radiating throughout the state, Jay Panda said.

Manmohan may not be a crowd puller, but certainly is a team leader. Under the changed situation, BJP needs a team leader to strengthen its grass-root level and Manmohan is the most suitable person available to the BJP, sources said.
