BALASORE/BHUBANESWAR: The 5T-Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian visited Balasore district and attended the NuaOScholarship Distribution Programme as per direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Shri Pandian distributed NuaO Scholarship Sanction Orders to students. A total of 30,926 eligible students from 71 colleges of Balasore received the scholarship worth about ₹30.6 Crore. Thrilled to receive sanction orders and credit in bank accounts, students thanked the CM and 5T-Nabin Odisha Chairman for the speedy execution of initiative.
He conveyed message of Chief Minister Patnaik who wished students all the best for their future and said that this initiative would help achieve dream of NuaOdisha. Shri Pandian said Odisha Government’s next major initiative will be to cover all students through launch of futuristic NabinOdishaMagicCard. It is a points-system based smart card which will engage and empower youth enabling them to improve personality, skill and academic development apart from employment.
Online registration portal for this card will be launched on March 5, 2024 while it will be distributed on August 15, 2024. All students of UG and PG courses without any income criteria will be eligible to apply for the smart card, Shri Pandian said while interacting with students during the programme.
