JAJPUR/BHUBANESWAR: The 5T-Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian on Tuesday visited Jajpur, where he took part in NuaO, interacted with students where he explained Odisha Cabinet decision on Nua-O Scholarships for students enrolled in general Degree and PG programmes as per direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Shri Pandian said minimum scholarship for male students will be ₹9,000/year & for female students will be ₹10,000/year. Students from SC/ST, ‘Nirman Shramik’ families will get ₹10,000 (Male), ₹11,000 (Female). NuaO Scholarships will be deposited in bank accounts from Feb 20.
Addressing students, Shri Pandian said by August, NuaO Magic Smart Card will be given to students helping them avail benefits like bus/train travel, free WiFi, access online courses, skill development, coaching program based on performance in various activities.
Shri Pandian highlighted that this will be new era of student empowerment by Hon’ble CM towards realising the vision of NabinOdisha. He motivated students to dream big & work hard. He said as many as 4.5 lakh UG students & 2,000 PG students will benefit from NuaO Scholarships.
